George’s Sweetheart
George’s Sweetheart is a meticulously restored 1974 Super Pantera. The car is the result of a five-year frame-off restoration.
Originally built in Italy, the body was sandblasted to bare metal, painted in its original Pantera Red, and finished with an epoxy sealer.
The all-leather, with Hawaiian Koa wood, interior is completely brand new.
This head turner is powered by a blueprinted Pro Stock race engine with a 11,000 rpm redline. The cost of the engine alone was over $100,000.George also upgraded both the braking and cooling systems, and used all stainless steel brake lines.
When asked what the car’s top speed is, George says, “I don’t know, I never tried to find out; but she does a hundred twenty (120 m.p.h.) in second (gear).” George believes the car will go well over 200 m.p.h.
George has driven his Sweetheart less than one hundred miles since completing the restoration project.
